Write for us
We welcome clear, original pitches about choosing, learning, making or sharing a leisure pursuit, as well as carefully researched pieces on the history of pastimes. Send proposals through the Contact page.
What makes a strong pitch
Name the subject, the reader's question and the distinct point your piece will make. A useful proposal explains why the topic suits Lasting Leisure Guide, what the reader will understand or be able to decide afterward, and which reliable sources or relevant experience can support it. Keep the scope focused enough for one article.
The voice we value
Write plainly and specifically. Compare real trade-offs rather than declaring a universal winner; separate personal preference from fact; and avoid turning leisure into a productivity test. We are interested in fresh angles, useful explanations and considered histories, not disguised advertising or claims that every reader should buy or do the same thing.
Sending a proposal
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial reason for writing. Include a short outline and any relevant links or disclosure of interests in your message. A pitch is a proposal, not a guarantee of publication; please do not send a complete unsolicited manuscript unless requested.
